We have been involved in acting as Legal Adviser to Foreign Companies that have invested in Power Sector.
Since 2016 we have been acting as Legal Advisers to SINOSUN INVESTMENT LIMITED (Chinese Company) in respect of their 100MW Solar Power Plant in Katsina State which another Company NIGUS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED has sought to acquire 100% of equity of Sinosun Investment Limited along with the Power Plant owned by Sinosun. We were formally retained by Sinosun as Legal Advisers to the deal. In that regard we drafted the Letter of Intent, the Term Sheet, the Memorandum of Agreement and we also reviewed the Power Purchase Agreement between Sinosun Investment Limited and Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading PLC (NBET is the Government Agency that bulk purchases all electricity generated by any Private Power Company in Nigeria and then input into the National Grid through another government Agency Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN)) We are also advising on the Mambilla Power Plant (more than 3000MW Power Project).This Joint Venture Project involves CGC Nigeria Limited as one of the Joint Venture Partners and we are retained by CGC Nigeria Limited as their Company Secretary Legal Adviser
